2 egg yolks, well beaten.
4 tablespoons of water.
2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour.
1 3/4 cups of white sugar.
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
2 tablespoons of butter.
1 cup of all-purpose flour.
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
2/3 cups of brown sugar.
2/3 cup of butter.

How to:

Preparation time: 30 minutes – Cooking time: 60 minutes.

Begin by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C.)
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
Cut in the shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Mix egg yolk and water.
Then mix into the flour until it forms a ball.
Roll out to fit the bottom of a 10×15 inch baking pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the apple slices, lemon juice, 2 tablespoons flour, sugar, and cinnamon.
Pour the filling mixture into the pie crust and dot with 2 tablespoons butter.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine 1 cup flour, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 2/3 cup brown sugar, and 2/3 cup butter.
Cut in the butter until crumbly, then sprinkle over apples.
Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until topping is golden brown.
